Macha enforces automated data retention and deletion policies to ensure your information is never stored longer than necessary. These policies help maintain compliance, reduce risk, and respect user privacy.
Default Retention Periods

Agent answers, translations, and summaries are retained for 45 days from creation.

Onboarding and widget usage analytics are retained for up to 12 months to support product improvement.
After these periods, data is automatically and irreversibly deleted using Time-To-Live (TTL) indexes.
Custom Retention Options
For customers on enterprise plans, we offer configurable retention windows:

Choose between 30, 60, 180, or 365 days

This flexibility allows your organization to meet its internal compliance requirements.
Permanent Data Deletion

Once data reaches the end of its retention window, it is securely purged from our systems.

Deleted data cannot be recovered, ensuring compliance with right-to-be-forgotten policies and minimizing unnecessary exposure.
Can I Request Early Deletion?
Yes. You can request the removal of stored content before the retention period ends. Upon request:
